Platform & General

What is Motor SaaS?

Motor SaaS is a multi-tenant platform built for the automotive industry by Saphera Software. It provides a unified foundation for training, ecommerce, AI-powered reporting, and custom services — all managed from a single white-labeled portal tailored to your organization.

Who is Motor SaaS built for?

Motor SaaS serves OEMs, dealer groups, independent shops, training providers, service networks, and automotive service providers. Any organization that manages multiple locations, users, or brands across the automotive ecosystem can benefit from the platform.

What languages does Motor SaaS support?

The platform currently supports English and French with full UI translation and bilingual content delivery. The architecture is built for multi-language expansion, so additional languages can be added as your organization requires.

Can Motor SaaS be white-labeled for my organization?

Yes. Every tenant gets full branding control — logos, colors, typography, navigation, light/dark modes, and custom landing pages. Your users interact with a portal that looks and feels like your own product, not a third-party tool.

How is Motor SaaS different from other SaaS platforms?

Motor SaaS is purpose-built for automotive operations — not a generic platform adapted for the industry. It combines training, ecommerce, AI reporting, and custom development into a single multi-tenant architecture with automotive-specific features like TPO integration, branded storefronts, and service-scoped contact directories.

Services

What is Motor LMS?

Motor LMS is the platform's learning management system. It supports course creation, SCORM packages, video content, enrollment tracking, certification, and multi-language delivery. It's designed for organizations that run training programs across location networks or service teams.

What is Motor Shop?

Motor Shop is an automotive ecommerce service for selling tires, wheels, and assembly packages through branded embeddable storefronts. It includes order management, pricing and fee configuration, TPO booking integration, and network-wide sales analytics.

What is AI Studio?

AI Studio is a conversational report builder. You describe the report you need in plain language, and the system generates it — including data queries, tables, and charts. Reports are versioned, shareable, and governed by a transparent points-based usage model.

Are services included or sold separately?

Motor LMS, Motor Shop, and AI Studio are shared services available on the platform. The platform includes a core set of features at every tier, and services are activated based on your organization's needs. Contact us to discuss what configuration makes sense for you.

Can you build custom components for my organization?

Absolutely. If you need something that doesn't exist on the platform yet, our team designs and builds custom components that integrate directly into Motor SaaS. Custom portals, third-party integrations, workflow automation, and data migration are all in scope.

Security & Compliance

How is my data protected?

Sensitive data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-CBC with PBKDF2 key derivation. All data in transit is protected via HTTPS/TLS. The platform uses parameterized queries to prevent SQL injection, constant-time comparison for API keys, and structured validation across 50+ dedicated validator classes.

Is my data isolated from other organizations?

Yes. Every request passes through tenant resolution middleware and a dedicated Tenant Access Guard that validates your tenant ID against the request context. All database queries are filtered by tenant — preventing cross-tenant data leakage at the middleware level before any business logic runs.

What authentication does Motor SaaS use?

JWT (JSON Web Token) authentication with HS256 signing. Access tokens are short-lived with configurable expiration. Refresh tokens are single-use, hashed with salt, and encrypted before storage. The system includes failed login lockout (5 attempts / 15-minute lockout) and email-verified account activation.

Does Motor SaaS support multi-factor authentication?

Yes. MFA is mandatory for all administrator accounts and elevated security levels. For standard user accounts, tenant administrators can enforce MFA globally or leave it as opt-in from tenant settings. The platform supports TOTP-based authenticator apps (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.) with QR-code enrollment and recovery codes.

Do you have audit logging?

Every significant action is recorded — action type, entity affected, user responsible, timestamp, and detailed change tracking with before/after diffs. Structured logging via Serilog provides correlation IDs for end-to-end request tracing.

How is the platform hosted?

Motor SaaS runs on Docker containers with multi-stage .NET 8 builds, deployed behind a Traefik reverse proxy with TLS termination. Media assets are stored on Amazon S3 with CloudFront CDN delivery. The infrastructure is designed for high availability and scalable workloads.

Features & Functionality

What does "multi-tenant" mean?

Multi-tenancy means multiple organizations share the same platform infrastructure while keeping their data completely isolated. Each organization (tenant) gets its own branded environment, users, roles, and data — without needing separate deployments.

How does role-based access control work?

Permissions are atomic and composable — bundled into roles at system, organization, and site levels. Access evaluation considers scope, service context, tenant boundaries, and time-based validity. Roles can be assigned with start and end dates, so temporary access automatically expires.

Can I assign content to specific users or groups?

Yes. The assignment engine lets you create documents, forms, and content then assign them to specific OEMs, organizations, locations, or individual users. Assignments support time-based activation windows and status tracking, so the right people see the right content at the right time.

Do users need an email to create an account?

No. Motor SaaS supports flexible user creation — users can be onboarded with a traditional login credential or an email address. This removes friction when provisioning accounts for technicians or field staff who may not have a corporate email.

Is there a contact directory?

Yes. Every site has a built-in contact directory where users can find the right person based on the service they need — parts, warranty, technical support, etc. Contacts are published with visibility controls and support primary/secondary designation.

Pricing & Getting Started

How much does Motor SaaS cost?

Every deployment is custom — pricing depends on your organization's size, the services you need, and the scope of your network. We don't publish fixed pricing because no two automotive organizations have the same requirements. Contact us and we'll put together a proposal tailored to your needs.

Is there a free trial?

We don't offer self-serve trials because Motor SaaS is a configured platform, not a plug-and-play tool. Instead, we offer personalized demos and guided pilot programs where we set up a real environment for your team to evaluate.

How long does onboarding take?

It depends on the complexity of your setup. Simple deployments with core features can be operational in weeks. Larger deployments with custom components, data migrations, and multi-site rollouts typically take a few months. We'll give you a realistic timeline during our initial conversation.

Do you offer ongoing support?

Yes. Every Motor SaaS deployment includes platform management and support. Your environment is maintained, updated, and monitored by the same team that built it. We're not a third-party support desk — we're the engineering team.

How do I get started?

Start with a conversation. Tell us about your organization, your users, and what you're trying to accomplish. We'll walk you through the platform, answer your technical questions, and outline what a deployment would look like for you.
